Hello,

I have created a polygon based on a area of cultivated land. What I would like to do is add a 100 metre boundary around it. The way I have done it which is not that accurate is to use the measuring tool to mark 100 metre points around the polygon. Then I have created a polygon matching up these points. I then used the cutter tool to edit the middle part i.e. the original polygon. That creates two polygons and I then delete the middle section. Don't know if that is the best way to do it so interested to hear any alternatives.

Cheers for now

Hello Gary,

A buffer zone in other words.
Quite simple :
Edit your polygon, get to the Actions tab and Create a buffer zone.
Et voila!
Cheers

Cheers Philippe, thats spot on. It all adds to knowledge about using MM which seems to me anyway, to be a top drawer product.

Cheers for now
