I think I might have asked this before but as yet have not come up with a good solution.
The basic problems is around multiple items (symbols) appearing in one location. For example for a survey I display a transect using a line, then locations on that line with a symbol. The results (i.e. the data) in this case, is in two parts are also use symbols. So in effect you can get a location symbol with part 1 symbol on top and the part 2 symbol on top of that.
I have setup a style file and created symbols in different colours and sizes but as yet have not got the balance right. It still looks to me anyway to be a bit messy. Can anyone offer any other solutions or advice? Thanks.
