I really like the new calibration process in MM 4. Now if I could only make it work. When I calibrate a Jpg using 4 points, the resulting image retains it's heighth, but is reduced in width by about 1/3 or a little more. if I use two horizontal points, at outside corners, it rotates the image counter clockwise about 10 degrees. Depending on what two corners I use it distorts the map in various ways. the Jpg is an Image of Ohio, and it includes three WGS84 zones, but I can only specify one in MM4 setup.

It used to calibrate OK in MM3, but so far no luck in MM4' Has anyone out there in MM4 successfully used the new calibration tool.

As an aside, does anyone know if there's a way to make the old MM3.5 screen "float" on the monitor so that in can be reduced to less than full monitor size.

Dale,
It is always best to report glitches directly to the developers ( see E-mail on their web-site), they are keen to tackle such issues when they can replicate it.
Download and install the latest version of Pro4; recently some work has been done in the calibration department. Perhaps your specific observation is also ironed out.

With regards to your Pro3 question; In the top right -as with most software- you will see three symbols: a minus, square and cross. Click on the ‘minus’ sand this will make your window ‘float’, clicking on the square, will bring it back full screen.

Hi Hanno,

I usually try the Forum first to see if someone else has had the same problem and fixed it. I have contacted the developers in the past on other problems and they are always helpful. I don't like to bother them however until I'm convinced it's not just operator error.

On MM3.5, I do have the minus sign, but that minimizes the screen. Usually there's also a double rectangle between the minus sign and the X and that's used to make the app screem adjustable. It's missing on 3.5, but thankfully it's on 4.0.

I'll try the latest MM4 download and see what happens.

Thanks so much for your input.

Dale
