Hi John,
Long time no see. Mapmaker 3.5 is no longer being supported. With every Windows update (it seems every jolly week at times)the foundations on which it once worked well may have move a tat. I too have this happening so I suspect that part of the foundation is now lost.
The good news it that map maker 4 has been out for about 4 years now and is going strong!
