Hello to the world of Map Maker, another newbie to Map Maker here, though I have been using it for a couple of months now and during this time I have come to love it, once I got over the initial learning curve. However, I now have a puzzle.

A couple of days ago I was looking at the contents of a database DBF file. I have done this numerous times as I have been learning and using mapmaker. I have also successfully used the Edit to clean and update data in database files. However, during this last edit, Map Maker hung on me, no idea what I was doing different but the only way I could get it back was to force close mapmaker using task manager.

Problem now is, every time I try to use the Edit Database function, I get a 'Cant Copy -some file name - ' error and I end up seeing the file I was working with at the time of the hang...

I suspect this is a temporary file somewhere in the system that is causing the problem and which, I assume, Map Maker creates when you use the Edit Database function. I have tried searching in the forum but I cant find any similar issue. I have had a sniff around in the file system, especially around the Map Maker directory and my project folders but nothing leaps out at me or has a big red flag saying 'It's me!'.

Can anyone point me to where this file might be located, I suspect if I blow it away the problem will disappear? Or, am I barking up the wrong tree!

Thanks
Nat
