I have encountered a problem when using the Save screen image as .bmp file. I have text layers to describe the features on the map but when I export the screen to bitmap, the text layers don't export.

One possible complicating factor is that the layers with text have visibiliy dropping out at 1:600000. Advice/solutions appreciated.

Hmmm?
I've some 20 meters high texts that do export nicely with File/Save screen image/As bitmap with BPW cal (scale at 1/10000).
Make sure your texts are saved?
