I am trying to calibrate a JPEG and the error message saying there isn't enough memory to perform this operation.

The size of the JPEG is 39,000KB. I can reduce the size but I start to loose a lot of detail.

How can I overcome this - can I convert to another format and then calibrate?

I have to do a number of these and I don't want to have to split the imges and calibrate each one indivitually.

Regards,

Luke

Even budget desktop computers should have enough memory to do the task but you might check your machine and its ram settings just in case.
It's more likely Mapmaker isn't happy with the file structure of your image file - there are slightly different flavours of jpeg so try converting your file to a .bmp image and see if that works. I just did a spot check using a very old computer here and calibrated a 100 meg bitmap file no problem so that should work?
